Donald Trump’s incompetence may have endangered a key spy for one of our allies in the fight against ISIS. When it comes to diplomacy, President Trump is a bumbling idiot.
You may remember that Trump met with Russian diplomats privately in the Oval Office last week. There were also reports that Trump shared some classified information with the Russians during that meeting.
Well, it turns out that information concerned ISIS, and it came from an allied spy that’s embedded in ISIS. So now the Russians to use this intelligence to figure out who the spy is.
Sources say this information likely came from Israel. They have a spy inside of ISIS, and they’ve shared the spy’s findings with us under an intelligence-sharing agreement.
But it gets worse, as the Wall Street Journal reports that this spy is one of our best sources of information about ISIS. And Trump’s incompetence may out this person.
For instance, this source warned the U.S. about ISIS’ plans to use explosive devices on airplanes. That information led the administration to ban the use of laptops on planes coming from 10 Muslim countries.
An official also told the Post that Trump bragged about his intel to the Russians. He wanted to make a good impression on his new Russian friends.
Trump reportedly said, “I get great intel. I have people brief me on great intel every day.”
Trump acted like a man sharing gossip with his buddies. He didn’t treat this intelligence with the respect that it deserves, and it could end up costing the source dearly.
As a result, the source may not share information with us in the future. And why would they, when Trump is just going to leak it to our enemies?
The Russians could also figure out who the source is. They could then share that information with their allies in Syria and Iran.
Officials in those countries could then pass this information on to ISIS. This would put the spy’s life in jeopardy.
POLL: Did Trump jeopardize the fight against ISIS?
Trump recently shared classified information from an Israeli spy with our Russian adversaries.

So far the Trump team continues to back the President. They say that Trump has the right to declassify information as he sees fit.
They’re right about this, but Trump showed a complete disregard for our nation’s interests when he shared this intelligence with the Russians. When will he learn that Russia is not our ally?
National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster also suggested that Trump may not have known that the information was classified. But that’s hardly a comforting statement either.
Trump is the president of the most powerful country in the world. He’s supposed to know which information is classified and which isn’t.
This whole episode shows once again that Trump doesn’t know how to handle foreign affairs or the presidency. Please share this story on Facebook if you agree that Trump is a disgrace to our nation.
