Bruce Springsteen Releases Anti-Trump Protest Song. It’s Amazing.

Donald Trump’s massive failure as president has been cemented in a song. “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen released an anti-Trump number titled “That’s What Makes Us Great.”

The entertainment industry does not like Donald Trump. From the very beginning, most Hollywood celebrities expressed their disdain for him.

Music legend Bruce Springsteen does not like Trump either. He called the orange fuhrer a “moron” in a Rolling Stone interview.

Better yet, he loudly demanded that Trump stop using his song “Born in the USA” during his campaign events.

Now, Springsteen wrote a new song about Trump called “That’s What Makes Us Great.” Springsteen’s co-collaborator Joe Grushecky told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the two decided to write the song in January.

In the song, there are some lyrics that refer to Trump’s dislike of reading. They are:

“And don’t you brag to me/That you never read a book/I never put my faith/In a con man and his crooks.”

And the chorus, which takes a more positive note, is:

“It’s up to me and you/Love can conquer hate/I know this to be true/That’s what makes us great.”

During his inauguration, Trump could not attract any celebrities to perform. Even those who supported him said “no,” knowing that involvement with a racist and misogynist like Trump would be career suicide.

Some of those who did perform were not happy about it. Some members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir openly expressed their displeasure for having to participate in his inauguration ceremony.

Since his election, Trump’s narcissism, corruption, and ignorance are comedic fodder. Alec Baldwin portrays him on Saturday Night Live, which irritates Trump to the point of calling for the show to end.

Other celebrities such as Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah of the Daily Show, and Seth Myers criticize Trump nightly. The criticism pays off for them and their networks.

All three shows, as well as CNN, saw huge increases in their viewership. Ridiculing Trump is now a profitable business!

We’re glad to see Springsteen putting his voice in the Resistance.

POLL: Do you love Springsteen’s new song?

Springsteen’s new song is another way to hit at the racism, ignorance, and hatefulness of Donald Trump. And, as the first set of verses state, Springsteen recognizes Trump as a con man and crook

But Springsteen is optimistic that the love of the people will triumph over the hate of Trump. All we have to do is resist and protest Trump’s fascist policies.

Do you agree with The Boss? Let him know how you feel about the new song in the poll below.

Springsteen is one of many celebrities revered by the working-class that dislike Trump. Racing star Dale Earnhardt, Jr., who is well-liked by many among Trump’s base, also lashed out against the president on his hatefulness towards immigrants.

Captain America himself, Chris Evans, had a running Twitter war with David Duke, past Grand Dragon of the KKK. He criticized Trump’s nationalism and views on white superiority.

Basketball legend Magic Johnson referred to Trump as a dictator while actor Robert DeNiro said he would like to punch Trump in the face.

Springsteen joins a number of celebrities that openly criticize Trump. And many of these celebrities appeal to a large group among Trump’s base—angry white men.

Do you agree with Springsteen that Trump is a crook and con man? Let us know by taking our poll and sharing this article on Facebook.
